Thinking of buying a frame to build up and have most of the parts but don't have a 29 boost rear wheel . I do however have a 27.5+ rear boost. I would probably buy a 29 rear at some point but just wondered how it might work in a mullet set up.
Yes, it was great with 2.8in B-plus rear and 2.5in 29er front - in the right circumstances (woods, loam, roots, twisty, bit of gradient).

Yep, currently running mine as
2.4 baron 29 upfront on xm1501 30mm
3.0 purgatory grid 27.5x3.0 on xm551 40mm out back.
Takes some sting out of the rear end while I'm a little weak in the core.
Don't rate the specialized rubber though.
