Thought i would try a change of saddle from my trusty SDG Belair titanium, and save 1/4lb in weight.

Merlin have the I fly in at £33, tried one on the FS and seemed OK for the 2 hour night ride round Rivvy, so i thought save 1/4lb and get one for the Cotic Soul, did a 3 hour ride on Wed night and a 20 miler yesterday round Rivvy again

I can't sit down on the bloody bike, my arse is killing me, I'm amazed that a change can be so painfull. I thought at most a pit of penile numbness would be encountered, but this is beyond a joke.

Anybody else REALLY suffered after changing saddles.

I think I'll probably be in the exact same position as you come Monday, I've just swapped my trusty belair RL for the Ti-Fly and although a short ride to the supermarket only gave me achey wrists (saddle was further forwards than usual) but Whites Level will probably leave me working stood up on monday!

It feels like somebody has been plucking the hairs out of my 'Biffin bridge'.

which is wierd as I thought the saddle didn't touch that area

Well my old Ritchey saddle was giving me problems so I swapped it for a Selle Rolls I had lying around and I've still got the same problem. It isn't really sore it's just the sit bones clicking as I ride. I need to sort it or I could end up with an arthritic arse and no one wants that. I think it's probably a positioning problem rather than the saddle itself.

Went the other way myself, took a comfy Flite saddle from the hardtail and put it on the FS, and found it well uncomfortable. I put it down to spending most of the ride standing when on the hardtail.Swapped to a WTB Ti, so comfy i've got one on both now.

i used that solid road one (people think church pew - even the review said suitable for 2-3 hours on the roadMAX) on the MTB when I first got in to it.
No saddle will ever feel that uncomfortable EVER ... literally no padding and on a hard tail it did not last long.
