I find it a very frustrating experience. It never comes off like the video...

Needle nose pliers. Wrap with cloth. Stick one pincer inside and clasp and pull like heck.

Or just cover the pliers with cloth and clasp over the whole outer area of the adaptor. And again pull like heck.

Although no use to use, mine have always come off by hand.

I used the end of a QR skewer to push it out from the inside.

I found older ones very difficult to get off with pliers etc (and can get damaged) but then fairly easy once I got hold of a vice - if you haven't tried a vice then that might make all the difference.

Make your own clamps drill a slightly undersized hole through some hard wood about 1" thick
Cut in half and use halves in a vice

I've just bought a big old engineers vice so I'll try that next time. As it turned out, my orrible noise I was trying to solve turned out to be more preload required on BB!

Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Yep, got a very long hex key from an old pair of manitou forks that is great for jobs like that.
