Loving the idea, loving the magazine. But blimey it's lonely.

But anyway I've randomly decided that I'd like to cycle all my old off road favourites on a touring bike. So I'm thinking, your never alone on the internet so anyone else?

Try the Cycling UK forum. The wonders of Google led me to this:

Seems to be a fairly old but long-running and occasionally revived thread.

Ask on Audax UK.

There will be someone on there that knows someone.

We are in it, unfortunately we're in Ireland ATM. Have you been in touch with your local group?

I was a member for many years but let it lapse because it was just me in Stirling and the magazine became tedious.
But not before MacNasty and his wife nearly benighted me in the Ochils.

Their local routes are popular with the gravel-mob now and I still spend time rough-stuff exploring on my Sherpa.

You've found this ?

I think the local group has lapsed until someone takes over?

long time member here. rode with the yorkshire group in the late 80s and early 90s.

Alan who owned Spa cycle was a great ride leader.

then it all seemed to die off slowly.  not many then no rides.

oldgit...... where are you based ?

i am always available to ride.

I guess it depends on how sociable you are but you can surely ride "rough stuff" without being part of a club?
