Theyr emore expensive, and you can't switch between SRAM and Shimano with an adapter.

(although it's debatable whether you can switch a Hope one back to Shimano)

The adaptor comes as a standard part when you buy the BB.
The main advantage is the ease of use of the grease tool.
look after them and they'll last a long time.
