My old singlespeed gravel bike needs brakes, tired of constantly fettling the HY/RD ones on there and they've done a lot of miles and are very tired.
Had Hylex before and were ace, but cannot seem to find post-mount in UK (CRC have just left hand flat mount).
Any alternatives to the Hylex as a singlespeed hydraulic brake?
any 1x hydraulic brake system with the gear paddle zip-tied to the brake lever? did this to my ‘can be singlespeeded if desired’ cx/gravel thing without any issue
The SRAM ones are good. Apex are the cheapest but Rival have been around longer so can be cheap second hand. The left hand one can come with or without the shifter parts but the right hand one comes with them. The shifter bits are easy to remove leaving you with brakes only which looks much neater and is of course lighter. Just look on Ratio's website for instructions how to remove the bits you don't want.
