Looking for a lightweight waterproof breathable shell jacket for road riding. Probably won't be used for the mtb, as I've found that even just washing the mud off with water and sometimes non-bio soap flakes, the beading effect goes pretty quickly. So I was intending this one wouldn't get caked in crud so much.
I have an Altura Attack for the mtb and was looking for something a bit more slim fitting.
Any good deals out there? (probably needs to be sub £100)

Waterproof surfaces that are being heavily used need to be looked after.
Don't bother nothing is waterproof and breathable in reality.
I use a gore windstopper santini soft shell thing but will be swapping for a Rapha pro tour jacket this winter. Wind stopping is more important than waterproofing
I've used techwash before and the reproofing stuff following that but even after just the first wash I've still found there's a noticeable decline in the surface beading. Plus its expensive.
Some jackets must be more durable than others?
I've got a soft shell and its the most used jacket I've got but in really torrential rain, it gets to the point when you can wring the sleeves out.
