Looking for a cheap set to stick on my commuter.
I got a set of those CRC £14.99 Shimano ones a while back but lent the rear to my son for his jump bike....it doesn't look like it's coming back in one piece.
So I have a front BR-M486. I could get a matching rear for £32.99 I guess, but was wondering if there were any deals on a pair of brakes anywhere, while I wait for CRC to have a fire sale again 🙂 Don't need to be same or even Shimano.
Probably avoid Avids though, unless [i]really[/i]cheap 😉
And I was going to point you at my sale Of some avids.
Halfords have Clark's disk brakes on a deal if you buy a can of gt85 for £35. No idea how good they are though.

Strange bundle deal on just the rear though.
Might call in to Halfords tomorrow to have a nosey.
A mate at work bought one and was quite impressed. I think you have to reserve them to get that price as in store I think they are still ~£60. You also get a spare set of pads.
