I feel your pain... Thinking about upgrading my Pitch from 150mm Sektor RLs to either Float 36s or Lyrik Solo Airs but finding a black 1 1/8" pair is proving nigh on impossible.

Just taken off a great pair of pikes if you're interested. I agree though, took me a while to find a straight steerer fork and good models are holding their money.

Is this the place to advertise your straight steerer forks then?

For sale, ultra rare Rockshox Sid "power bulge" forks. very low mileage & one careful owner from new, these forks are the ultra rare top of the range model & as they have covered only about 50 miles are sure to be an appreciating asset & a future collectors item, POA, but if you have to ask then you can't afford them.

I may be willing to part with my 2013 normal steerer Fox Talas 140mm/110mm Fit with bar mount CTD control, less than 50 hrs genuine use and fully serviced/oil change with Redline oil twice in that time (i work in a bike shop) they have never yet seen mud or rain.......hard to believe but true - £500ish?.

As fitted to my hummer below, i did remove the fork leg stickers as i have an irrational hatred of flashy graphics/stickers on bikes.

But what about them there Schwalbe Nobby Nic logos? Can't you go over them with a black ink marker? 😆

I have a pair of X-Fusion Vengeance you can have for £20 more than I paid for 'em if you like. Ace forks and can be found £20 cheaper at Freeborne, but at least with me you'll be getting 'em 2nd hand.

And I've even cut the steerer and bedded 'em in for you - bargain!

Why? Because frames last longer than forks and not many are made now. But you knew that.

Buy new, and buy now before they all disappear.

Good advice.

Where are the Z1's???

Edit: WTF. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Marzocchi-Z1-Light-ETA-2006-Italian-Made-Enduro-Mountain-Bike-Suspension-Fork-/181215297153?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item2a3145fe81

I bought a set of these new back in 06 for less than that.

What have you done with the latest set of new ones you bought, which 'don't work'?

Is this your 3,756th warranty claim for a 'broken' set of forks?

theres some 55RC3s in the classifieds, somewhat, er, optimistically priced if youre after Marz and interested in haggling? Most of the cheap new mail order stuff is tapered or 1.5", unsurprisingly.

Seriously Hora, how many pairs of forks have you had over the past few years?
Surely one, if not all, could have been tunable to your, er, specific requirements?

I've got a pair of Manitou Magnum R you can have - 80mm of rebound controlled elastomer goodness.
£200.00?

You know the best ones that I had were 36 Float R's (2yrs)- brilliant but I sold them to try Lyriks (hideous failures). Then the Mazz (new) - failed twice/gave up with '3 weeks turnaround'.

I'm on 150's at the mo- fancy 160's (slightly longer A-C), simple as.

brilliant but I sold them

And therein lies the cause of all your problems. If they were that brilliant, why did you sell them? Eh? WHY?
