So just recently bought a 2009 x1 - looking for some tips to getting the shock setup right -

I'm about 85-90kg in kit, to setup with about 25% sag is about 180psi but it still feels a bit 'bobby' when pedaling even in the lock out position. Makes me think it is too little, but adding more means less sag and I haven't got close to bottom out on 180 -

what sort of psi / rebound are you guys riding?

EDIT - pretty sure the shock needs a service so that might be part of the problem...

I weigh 70 kg and run about 185 psi. Any less feels a bit soggy.

Did you have a hard tail before? It's a fairly active system but doesn't bob much, it can take some getting used to the feel.
My X1 is set to 25% sag although I don't know the psi.

๐Ÿ˜ฏ I'm a similar weight and I'm sure mine is only set to about 130psi... and that feels pretty firm to me... haven't experimented much so maybe i'll give a high value a try to see how it feels like...

Don't get hung up on psi - try measuring with 2 different shock pumps and you'll see why. It's all about the sag!

Also 85-90kg and running 180psi. Seems fine.

Mostly ride a hardtail but do have a 6" susser for trail centres, got to say it feels much more active than vpp. Planning on racing the anthem on Sunday concerned its not going to be particularly efficient
