Does my ideal spd shoe exist?

I need a shoe that will fit ok with thin socks but also thicker socks and sealskins - or do I need 2 pairs one winter one summer

I've got a pair of spec sport MTB shoes that are great but too small for the sealskins.

So I thought upping a couple of sizes and a dhb M1 would do the job - but they're still too small. Do I need to go up another side or try something like the shimano AM45s

Have you considered buying too large, then running a chunky orthotic insole when you don't need the space.

When I bought my first pair of SIDI dominators, it was suggested I buy a 44, rather than my usual 43 so I could run sealskins in the winter. I wish I'd never done that, but that is a whole other issue. For me, having a pair of winter boots and a pair of summer race slippers is the best option. The point was, I used to run a blue 'superfeet' insole in the SIDIs, they took up at least half a shoe size, so with racheting down the SIDIs they fitted 'ok'.

Damn pricey for what they are though - suggest you try to find some going cheap on the web.
