I mainly use Maverick for viewing maps, as it has OS mapping. You can load it with .gpx files created in Memory Map etc or downloaded, but I dont think you can use it to plot you own on-the-fly.

Anyone know a similar app that lets you use the touchscreen to create tracks, and then save them?

I want to use a Galaxy tablet on trips away to download local maps and be able to plot my own routes.

cheers

Try using the www.viewranger.com website. Not an app but it has easy an easy to use plotter, you can download the routes as GPX files.

The downloadable app lets you follow the map on your android device.

Viewranger app lets you create tracks in the app itself.

It is brilliant, better than free things, but it isn't cheap if you want a lot of OS mapping.

Based on gmaps pedometer site.

I use the Android version of Memory Map on my Galaxy Tab 10.1. Never tried to transfer any routes to the GPS though.
