Hi all,
Couple years ago I painted an aluminium frame with black Hammerite Direct to Rust spray, and it worked a treat. It was for a dirt jump bike, so durability wasn't a huge issue.
Same situation again, want to paint a dirtjump frame (raw aluminium) black, but ideally using a cheaper paint than Hammerite (£11 a tin, need 2). Don't want to powder coat as it's pricier and means removing the BB and headset.
Any suggestions?
Ta,
Duane.

OK great, thanks, and a lacquer isn't needed on the top of that?
no I wouldn't bother.
The etch sould do you about 3 or 4 frames its only for dusting on
