Will an Alfine disk wheel fit in a Chameleon and could you use standard Deore disk brakes?

.and where is best place to get Alfine from?

Ta muchly

Based on seeing a few chameleons with alfines, I'm going to say yes.

Don't know, but I've run a Rohloff in both a horizontal dropout and EBB Chameleon OK.
Which Chameleon is it ?
With the horizontal dropout version the wheel moves in relation to the caliper mounts as you adjust the chain. You might, possibly, find you need a half link chain to get the disc lined up with the pads just right.
The EBB version avoids the problem.

It is horizontal. Wish there was another cheaper option as it is looking like circa £400 to put a hub rear wheel with disks on.

£400 ?
The bare hub's about £150 isn't it ?
A disc, sprocket, rim & spokes doesn't add up to another £250.

MidlandTrailquestsGraham - need to add the shifter and fitting kit to your list (£35/£10 on their own!)

i was going to say you'll get the wheel for about 250 quid, but get a decent rim and spokes, not a 4.2. you could use an adaptor if you don't already have a centrelock rotor. a2z do 'em, as do shimano i think.
the 11 speed isn't out for another couple of months.
