The guy 'Dave' we stumbled upon today tucked up in a space blanket on the Lockerbrook descent to the cafe-anyone know of him or how he is? His calf/lef was a bit of a mess, I inadvertently put my camelback down into the red stuff while lending him my jacket.....
Hope he's OK, and his wife not to angry..... ๐ฏ
and he owes St a space blanket.....
must have been bad to get a helicopter! hope it's nothing too serious. where was it on the downhill? it's not really that technical.

Not necessarily. Hope he recovers soon though.
"where was it on the downhill? it's not really that technical"
That depends on how much effort you put in pedalling higher up, how much momentum you gained launching off the kicker and then how much of it you took with you round the berm before you hit the rocks I guess...
It was actually pretty slippery today, everything was very well frosted from the top of the intial climb upwards and slippy even where it wasn't frosted. It's not technical, but you can hammer it and if you hit something at speed it's going to hurt regardless of technicality. Hope the guy's okay.
he had opted to come down on the rooty embankment for some reason....
Seriously hope he's ok - but something always worries me about these situations - what happens to the injured persons bike, if he's no mates with him who "looks after it"?
There could be 4k's worth of kit hanging around! ๐ณ
goes in the police car or ambulance I reckon. He had a mate with him who had the task of informing his wife ....

had he fallen into the main track? that's a few ft drop onto rocks :-0
