Can you believe my gravel bike now has a clicky bottom bracket.... Well something is clicking. I'm not sure if it's the heat or whatever but I can't believe I've just spent a lot of money and time fixing my race bike and now my gravel bike has a clicking noise on every pedal stroke.
SRAM dub bb I suspect just take the cranks off, remove the bottom bracket clean and regrease and then torque back up to spec? I've only ever done Shimano bottom brackets but I suspect SRAM is the same principle? Any other SRAM specific things to check ? It's a 1x so there shouldn't be loose crank bolts etc ?
Pedals? Rotor bolts? Freehub?
I changed my first Dub BB yesterday. The top hat had seized to the axle! It’s straightforward enough but annoying that I had to buy a new tool to fit.
How many miles? I had a creaky DUB BB, and the NDS bearings were shot after 1500km. They're so cheap it makes sense to change the whole thing. The main challenge is overcoming the 54nm torque to undo, and there are some useful vids on YT to hack that
