I've bought some Reba RLs (2011), OEM from Planet X and while they've come with a user manual it doesn't really tell you much.
I've had them fitted down at Woodrups including a poploc but really don't have a clue how to adjust them.
The RockShox site goes on about motion control and flood gates but tells you very little so basically want I want to know is
1. Does the PopLoc mean the fork is either locked or fully open?
2. What/where is the flood gate?
3 Is it just easier to set the air pressures as per the forks or fiddle with them?
Cheers and sorry for my stupidity
I have the same ones, from the same place...
1. Basically, yes, but mine don't quite lock out completely
2. I think this adjusts how much lock out on the Poploc - there's a small knob on top of the RH side of the crown (with "Floodgate" stamped on it) - remove the circlip, pull the knob off, adjust floodgate with 2.5mm allen key.
3. Always fiddle. Pressures shown are only a starting point IMO.
There's a red twiddly wotsit at the bottom one side or other to adjust rebound
the sram site has the manuals on them - these explain how it all works and how to set them up. you may have to search the site for the documents though.
Poploc on means the fork locked out, although it will still move a bit. The floodgate is how much force it takes to overcome the lockout if you hit a bump for example. Floodgate adjuster should be at the top of the RH fork crown, in the middle of the lockout pulley. Rebound is at the bottom of the RH fork leg, little red knob. To start with I'd set the pressures to suit your weight. Then try 3 notches either way to determine best setting
Thanks
