[Closed] Adjusting a calliper banjo bolt

I've just fitted some new callipers and hoses to my bike. It looks like the banjo bolt on the rear calliper shifted a little as I tightened it up and isn't in the ideal position (although perfectly useable).

I've gone and bled (and ridden) the brakes; can I just loosen the bolt slightly to readjust or will this lose fluid/introduce air?

be fine. Just don't loosen it too much. Should be stiff to rotate the banjo. Maybe make sure joint is at lowest point and weight of fluid in system will prevent air coming in anyway.

You could pull the brake lever slightly to introduce some slight pressure to the system so that fluid would weep out rather than suck air in whilst you adjusted the banjo.

Yup, not too tight laccy band on the brake lever.

Careful when the banjo bolt gives, a tenth of a turn can suddenly turn into a quarter, followed by some expletives, its best to use your other hand to brace for that sudden release of tension, then one hand on the banjo the other holding the spanner still while adjusting, a tiny speck of fluid is okay and shouldn't introduce air.
