[Closed] Adaptor to shift bottle cat up/down?

The cage mounts on my frame only allow me to fit a small water bottle in the seat tube cage, but I believe that since I'm not running a front derailleur there's probably room for a large bottle if I could shift the cage down a few centimetres. Anyone know if such an adaptor exists?

Can't you just file the holes out a bit?

axion mudguard - axle mounts work well for small adjustments.

Probably only works upside down.

How much space is there under the bottle cage now? On my bike I just screwed the top cage hole into the lower frame hole, with a zip tie to hold the bottom of the cage steady. Looks crap, works great!

Elite makes something that might work:

DMR do a hinged clamp which can be used for this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/dmr-hinged-clamp/rp-prod745

I've used the elite straps and a mount skidmore on different bikes. Both work well. The MS is seems a bit tougher but I've covered ~15,000km on the Mtb with elites with no issues

Rubber-strap cage mounts from decathlon - £2.99! I bought one last week so I can put a cage on the fork leg and look all adventurey - works a treat! ~Link here:

Awesome stuff, thanks all! Damn auto correct and all that - handy tip from Stevet1 though for cat bottling!

Would have thought it'd be pretty straightforward to drill four holes in some flat Al plate and then you can get it to the exact height you want.
