[Closed] Accommodation for the D&G 7 Stanes

Just back from a 4 day trip to the more southerly Stanes and would like to recommend the place I stayed. As it was a solo trip I was looking for hostel type accommodation and found this place just up the road from Dalbeattie: [url= http://www.urrlodge.co.uk/ ]Urr Lodge[/url]. It's fairly MTB oriented, with a palatial new bike shed, it's handy for the trails, comfortable and run by nice people, so it suited my purpose perfectly.

I did 5 of the Stanes over 4 days:
Thursday - Dalbeattie red, then most of it again
Friday - Mabie red (including the Ridge, which isn't on the newer maps) and Ae red (and met Trekster in the shop at Ae...)
Saturday - Kirroughtree red (with some mates), then red and black
Sunday - Newcastleton red, and the only accident of the trip - a 6 foot face plant off the orange grade North Shore section. 😳
