edit - buying a bike? yer just buy a membership, you also get 10% off anything in Halfords as well, not just bike stuff

Yeh it's definitely worth taking BC membership just for the halfords discount. Only something like £17, I saved double that on my first halfords purchase (tool cabinets).
Plus the monthly 10% off crc orders over £99.
