A quick SRAM 1:1 Pull Ratio Question

I'm currently running a SRAM 11 speed rear mech with a 10 speed shifter all hunky dory - both are 1:1 pull ratio.

Should a 9 speed 1:1 ratio rear mech also work with a 10 speed shifter?

Cable pull is determined by the shifter and the width of a 10 speed cassette is broadly the same as an 11 speed cassette so it should work ... shouldn't it?

I'm not looking to use anything larger than a 11/34 cassette.

Anyone tried this?

it should. definitely 1:1 though?

I have a 11 speed NX SRAM shifter working well with a 12 speed shimano XTR mech over an 11 speed shimano cassette, and I've also got the same shifter on another bike with a 10 speed shimano XT rear mech over a 10 speed cassette. this has also worked on a 11 speed 11-40 cassette with the same mech.

from memory the MTB stuff is 1:1.12 (x actuation sram calls it) whereas the road stuff I think is still exact actuation which is 1:1, though not played about with that as much.
