Sure someone here might be able to help.
I have been offered a second hand 16' singlespeed frame, one of the 100 limited edtions. Ita a frame only sale and was running RC-31's & the owner is not sure?
Does anyone know what its corrected for?
Would Reba 120mm be ok?
Ta.
The orignial inbred and the 853 SS version are designed for 100mm forks
Thanks weeble
So 120mm might be a bit much ๐
Built for 100-130mm forks
Works best at 130mm with gears but a bit less on a SS will climb better
I had 140mm on mine for most of the time
120s on mine when I had it. Seemed to ride fine!
OK thanks PP,SV
Bit of a numpty question, sorry in advance:
Going from 100mm to say 120-130mm on that frame, will it make the handling twitchier?
I always get a bit confused which way makes the handling twitchier?
The earliest Inbreds were (according to my mate Pete, who had one of the first 853s) horrid with anything over 80mm. He ran SIDs at about 60mm.
the 100 Ltd editions from 3 years ago(ish) were for 100-130mm fork. mine runs dandy at 130mm, ta very much. longer will make it more slack ( a bit ).

The 853 limited edition ones were the Mk2 geometry, Personally I wouldn't go below 115mm, but if you like 'em fast steering 100mm is fine. I found 130mm perfect. ๐

Same 130mm felt good for me, was using Talas at the time so could wind it up and down, also don't forget they have a very short headtube so don't worry too much.
I'm happy on my Mk2 Inbred with 425mm rigid fork. Have tried the Reba at 100 and 85 travel, and I much prefer it at 85mm, but what do I know?!!
125 revs on mine is perfect - gotta say I love this bike

Stick 130mm on and see what you're missing! ๐
