Which one for commuting duties as a SS? Never ridden a 29er, have no chance of trying one. What would you suggest?

I know there are meant to be benifits to riding 29er's but imo unless your over 6' you just look like a dork on one. Similar to when you see a little kid on his big brothers bike and he can just about reach the pedals 😉

Get a Diamondback Mojito instead - cheap as chips and SS 29er rather than a Scandal.

I gather a 26er would be better then. Correct?

Will it feel like a hybrid?

Amy Baron-Hall seems to like her 29er, does pretty well on it and she must be 3 feet tall, or something.

LOL Hiarychested i've had that argument. Stick flat bars on a cx bike and everyone claims it's a hybrid so surely sticking 29 wheels on a mtb also turns it into a hybrid 😉

For commuting I would have thought it would be fine, well start with the 16" version.

5'9" here on a 18" SS 29er Inbred for commuting duties here btw & yes I look a dork/stupid no matter what bike I ride 😉
