had a flutter, long shot and got £500 back, free to spend I see fit,so what do you reckon....

second hand frame, looked in the shed and have enough parts for a build so limited additional cost have two bikes at the moment, one nice Yeti 7 and a RockyMountain 29er just finishing the build

go on holiday somewhere....due to work commitmments and change patterns less hols for partner this year it would be solo, probably.

or improve my dire skills with a couple of days, been riding 20 years biggest improvement was a day with Ed O

or

save the cash tis austerity Jim but not as we know it.

Me personally, a holiday. But then I need one of those more than I need the other stuff.

I'd always go on holiday given the chance, although that option would probably cost more money.

I'd also always go for holiday first... Despite not giving me anything tangible it makes me feel much better

I´ll be heading down to the Canaries with the bike in Feb. Great time to grab a cheap holiday in the sun.

Get some skills sessions booked in if you are fussed about becoming better on the bike. Sell all the spare bike bits and put that cash towards a holiday!

Skills course then an mtb roadtrip on the cheap round all the bits/trails of the UK you've always wanted to ride at, If i may be so bold can i recommend Clive Forth at Mabie or his sessions down south. Admittingly a mate from up here in Galloway but he will pick up on all your wee foibles and mistakes on the bike and coax the best out your riding without you even realising it, very good rider and extremely decent person as well.

Skills are great to have
Holidays are fun
New bikes are ace

If I had holiday to burn I would probably go that way. My last trip out with the white room sharpened my skills up due to the amount of riding I was doing.

Yeah Clive is pretty good at what he does, that's why most, if not all the mags use him and his race results in the Avalanche cups are not shabby either, if you do decide to do a road trip up round the stanes then give us a call at Next Level Bikes, Castle Douglas, if time n' work allows maybe get a local ride organised round some of the "other" stuff in the area.

Maybe skills for a day then a long weekend in the UK trying them out?

training days are good, but i'd not bother with another 1-2-1, so i suggest finding a group lesson you can join.

more fun, much cheaper, and in many ways a better learning environment.

and then a holiday.
