Problem, new frame on its way and I'll want to build it in record time instead of having it sat around too long but I can't afford Pikes or Revelations and only have some Fox 36 Van R's off the Enduro.

I know its a 4 or 5 or 6" bike but still feel it will be nicest at 5" or less. My (sold) summer season was best at 135mm IMO and I prefered Revelations to Pikes on it too so guessing the "normal geometry" 456 will be similar.

Will it be too chopped out to ride and look daft also? or anyone want to do me a swap?

I had 36 Talas on one for a time. Was OK. Usually ran them around 140mm though.

They're not adjustable, unless I ruin the insides.

Could run a softer spring so more sag?

Oh yes, but 150mm talas's - run with plenty of sag.

Absolute top fun.

b r that looks pretty good - I'm tempted to take a punt on a pre 456, strip my Enduro and try it myself!

I have recently gone from a summer season, which I liked best at 120 to a normal 456 at 140. I'm sure that as you liked the SS at 135, you'd not find the 456 too slack with 36 as that will give you a similar head angle?
