[Closed] 30.9mm Rockshox Reverb in a 31.6mm seat tube... HELP

I've recently built up a new Nicolai Helius and transferred all parts across from my Heckler. The seat post is however too small for the new diameter. Can anyone give me tips on how to solve this? I'm not sure if a shim would do the job.

Cheers
Jordan

shim will be fine as long as it's inserted as far as the frame manufacturer suggests a seatpost is.

yep a shim should be fine, used them many times in the past. They all come in pretty much the same length but found superstar's shims are slightly longer.

USE do a shim to suit, just fitted one to my Trek to do the same with a Reverb.

Lemonade bottle is about the correct width for a shim.

Expensive though...

What size would I need? The one I found on Wiggle has a 27.2mm internal diameter... How does a shim work?

+1 USE shim, just used one for a week in a hired Trek Remedy where I wanted to use my own Joplin post.

Guessing it would be the 30.9mm to 31.6mm butterbean? How can that size internal diameter fit over the actual post?

Not quite sure what you mean there...

That is the right size though.
