hey all,

decide to swap out my 29er wheels,im going to go the machine built route.

curious,do i go carbon rim or go alloy with a strange lacing pattern.

thes wheels im looking at are:

roval control 29 carbon (£899.99 - 1580 grams)

or

crankbrother cobalt 3 29's (£700 - 1670 grams)

for the sake of a 100 grams do i go to the carbon rims or do i just not carry a bottle of water?

suggestions welcome

Do not touch the Crankbrother ones with a big stick. They're rubbish, massively rubbish.

Seriously. don't do it

I think you've got your pricing wrong too on the Rovals - you sure £800 isn't for just the rear wheel? I can't find them for less than £1200

I've only had them a couple of months but these have been lovely so far. 1420g and £540 and they look the shizzle.

I've got the roval carbon ones (although the SL ones not the ones you're looking at) and i have to say they are amazing things, wouldnt change them for anything.
