Right ive got an Orange P7 and a 5. Temperarily i borrowed the forks off the five to try out on the P7 (Fox Talas 130mm). I much prefer the ride with the longer forks that I previously had on which were Rock shox Toras. Now ive got a set of Kona P2 29er forks which measure the same length as the Talas sus forks so effectively giving the same height. Would it be advisable to run them on the P7, or could i damage the forks? Wont be doing anything too hardcore, no rocky drops just light singletrack and XC.

I ran some 465mm carbon forks on my P7 and they were fine.

you wont damage the forks, you may want to think about the headtube, but I wouldnt get too anxious about it.

Just remember though* that even though the A-C might be the same, you have to allow for a further 30mm+ for the extra wheel diameter below the axle if you're using a 29er wheel. You could of course use a 26er wheel, you dont make it clear...

* I always used to forget this bit, but Brant pointed it out....
