Guys - I fancy a spin. Finished a new build at the weekend and need a reason to give it another outing.

Rode out to Balerno today and the snow was relatively 'grippy' but only 2 other tyre tacks since the last snow.

Could we meet at Murrayfield / Roseburn?

I won't be out tomorrow... But, the view from Currie is that there's a thin layer of snow on everything, we got just the slightest edge of a thaw this afternoon followed by a refreeze so unless tomorrow is warmer conditions might be a little iffy- very very slippy. OTOH the ground's harder than it was so overall riding conditions should be better than last week.

I'll be driving from Nitten and usually park near Bonaly, how about meeting at the wee shop? What time do you reckon you'll be there?

I'll not ever ever ever ever ever make a Wednesday night ride ever again (owing to being given Wednesday night shifts at Vue).

P.S. anyone want free cinema tickets in exchange for pretending to be my friend? Email in profile ๐Ÿ˜€

Good Evening

Any objections to two others joining? Both new to night riding and keen to give it a shot.

I presume the Wee Shop is the shop on the left as you ride up to the Bonaly Scout Camp, just before the new school?

It would also be good to put some faces to the names of the website.

Cheers

Rich

No need to apologise! Just the way things are at the moment. Hope the going is firm tomorrow night, just how the Pentlands should be...

I'll come if the bike shop have got the part I need tomorrow. If not, enjoy yourselves.

Not sure what shop you're talking about but I'll ask about that nearer the time if I'm coming.

Think I can out-excuse that Ian - washed all my winter kit last night & nae chance it'll be dry by tonight! Might be along though if can sling enough layers together, 19.30 @ Bonaly shop or not at all (i.e. don't anyone wait for me!)

Kit - I'll not ever ever ever ever ever make a Wednesday night ride ever again

I might try heading up on Tuesday nights in the next few weeks Kit, if you feel like it... Have to be home earlyish then for the other half to use the car y'see. Will post up if looking likely.

It was lovely up there tonight - a fair bit of snow but didn't adversely affect riding conditions at all.

Got a working bike as of half an hour ago but it's a bit late to meet the rest of you now.

Was it all muddy, Steve, or pretty frozen up?

Is that the ground conditions or the contents of your bibs you're describing?

Mostly frozen - just one of two places where it broke through to mud.
