Good evening
Earlier today I asked on this forum about a 24 inch wheel MTB but having been down to Halfords for a size check we have discovered that my daughter needs a 26 inch wheel bike instead.
I am looking to spent up to £450ish and would really appreciate any recommendations in this price range.
Many thanks......much appreciated.
looking at the prices of 26inch stuff on eBay have you considered second hand?
pairs of hopes are usually around 150ish and if you want to go close to your budget
£450ish and would really appreciate any recommendations in this price

.
Crazy double post
If you decide on the second hand route - a friend of mine has decided to move on her small custom Kona hardtail.
Decent build on it - Hope hubs, Mavic rims, Fox 32's. Can get more info and pics if you like?
One catch though - it's purple 🙄
thank you for ask you replies....my daughter has seen this and wondered on your thoughts?
No a mountain bike but seems to tick all the boxes for her
thank you

Singlespeed jump bike?
What is its use - how and where will she ride?
Did you not ask 6 hours ago?

Previous post was for 24 inch...now looking for 26 inch...thank you
Ahh, ok.
So:
Singlespeed jump bike?
What is its use - how and where will she ride?
she likes the local trails and jump park...a bit of a tom reall. her older broiler does the same but loves his 24inch stolen saint for that!!!
cheers
That bike will work well on jump park - but I think will be pig out on the trails. No gears, cannot put saddle up, no front brake, dry dirt jump tyres (more like slicks), heavy (cro-mo and steel axles etc).
Summary: if all she does is 6' jumps at the park then go ahead. For all other trails you may as well stick with the old BMX.
Point taken regarding the Jump bike.shes only ten so understandably wants a shiny new bike which will be for Christmas ....the Voodoo Nzumbi looks good

Thank you for all your advice
After a few days deliberation on which bike to get and some great advice here Ive increased my budget somewhat and down to a shortlist of 3 bikes
I don't know too much about the spec so need some help here if you would be so kind??
Im looking for a bike that will last my daughter a good few years and not grow out of too quickly....thank you

I've virtually decided on the Whyte 403. Slightly more than I wanted to pay but I think its worth the extra money.

Just wondering if this is the best 26" Kids bike at this price and that Im making the right decision over the Voodoo Nzumbi???
Thank you all for your help and advice...much appreciated
some other possibilities here too Ive just discovered...my max price is about £600 figure. After your advice I've increased my budget to £600. Looking at the link below which bike would you go for in my price range....leaning towards the Whyte based just on colour alone but not too sure about the specs...thank you so much

She can have my hornet frame for the price of postage (or if you're in Wales you can collect for free)...it's Alu, 17 inches, 26 or 650b, black, no damage....just moved back to steel that's all.
Thank you deviant for your kind offer but I would prefer a complete bike.
Just seen this on eBay
