[Closed] 2 1/2 days based in Windermere - where best to ride?

End of this week I'm off to Windermere for a few days, taking my Ironwood (more travel than you can shake a stick at) so I'm looking for some serious uppy-downy, rocky tracks. Have car - happy to drive for a bit.

I've been recommended the bridleway from Kentmere round Kentmere Common and down to the end of Haweswater, returning via Gatescarth Pass & Sadgill. I've also ridden Garburn Pass up from Kentmere, but not back down (was on my rigid SS) so was thinking of using that to get to Kentmere.

Can't get my head round the guidebook - never been able to get on with Harvey's maps, and not got my OS sheet yet, so what else would people recommend?
