Bought one of those bargaintastic Cannonade Triggers at the arse end of last year.
Recently bought a Sunrace 11-40 cassette I'm using with XT cranks and 30T Race Face NW ring.
SLX (long cage I think) clutch rear mech and the chain that came with the bike...not shortened it even when I ditched the Deore 3x10 chainset to go 1x10. Was initially using the Deore cassette and shifting was fine.
Since having the Sunrace the chain won't sit happily on the 40T (the extra sprocket I didn't have before!) and I have to drop down. The B screw is in as far as it will go. Chain not done more than 100 miles from new.
Anyone got a similar setup on their Trigger 4 or any bike for that matter?
Any ideas what the problem could be? 1x10 (especially with non-Shimano cassette) is all a bit new to me ๐Ÿ˜•

if you simply look very carefully and thoroughly at the chain as you turn the crank it will be obvious. Most likely something is not set up in alignment. whether that be your jockey wheels or your chainline should be fairly obvious to spot with a bit of paience.
Anything else like a twisted chain (link), twisted mech (or hanger), warped sprocket etc. should also be easy enough to spot if you take your time.
Also check for play in any moving parts.
If you still don't spot anything wrong. remove the air from your shock and cycle the suspension to mid and bottom out positions to see how this affects everything.
You may simply need a longer B-tension screw for the (I'm assuming) larger sprocket.
Next step would be to take it to a good bike shop for a second opinion.

Have you adjusted the limit screw?

Longer B tension screw is my bet

Looks like some screwing of one kind or another might be on the cards ๐Ÿ˜‰ Cheers

Mech isn't designed to cope with the range, longer B screw will fix it but will lead to premature chain slippage due to lack of chain wrap. 11 speed rear mech would be your best bet.
