Just stumbled across this gem of a film from 1951:

A group of young people on a cycling holiday in Scotland, staying in various youth hostels. They visit Dunblane, Doune and Callander, climb Ben A'an, walk in Glen Finglas and cycle across the Duke's Pass.
But it's the other details: the ferry across the Forth, elecrtrocuting small children for fun, overloading a rowing boat with no life jackets, and the bikes!
Enjoy!
Good that. Any ideas what the mileage would have been?
Book marking.
Great find!
Total distance was 114 miles.
35 miles from Dalmeny to Dunblane - which would have been the longest day.
Found the film while looking for information on the Dunblane hostel, having read about it in Davie Bell's The Highwayman Again.
Excellent!
