I was going to enter on the day, as there was a chance I was going to have just moved house so wasn't certain I'd make it.

First I heard about it was 2 weeks ago, when I posted this here. I heard on Twitter, from @DalesBikeCentre that day and the story went on the front page of STW that same day.
