I read a review (not on STW) that an aftermarket 170mm air shaft can be fitted to the 2021 Fox 36 forks however various sites (e.g tftuned) say the max is 160mm. Any done it or know whether this is correct?
What wheel size? I think it's max 160mm for 29 and 170 for 27.5. I could be wrong though.
29 - and yes you’re right I think the 29 only goes up to 160 but 27.5 supports 170. I read somewhere however that some 29” bikes were being supplied with an OEM version of the fork with 170, so on that basis I was assuming that it was possible even if not standard.
Yeah I read something recently along the same lines, wasn't clear what wheel size on the article I read though.
Not sure on the 2021 but we have a 2020 Enduro that came with a 170mm 29 Fox 36
