I'm selling (Well, trying to!) some OE Recons on the Classifides. I serviced them and removed the HUUUUGE stack of spacers inside, expecting them to end up at 130mm. But they ended up at 140mm. "Great!" thinks I, "They'll sell like hotcakes!"

But I've had 2 people tell me that 140mm can't be right and there must be something wrong or I'm mistaken!!

Eh?

There's lots of 140mm recons about, isn't there? ๐Ÿ˜

Perhaps a call to TFTuned would help?

Morning Peter, they exist obviously

http://www.amazon.com/Recon-140mm-Motion-Control-Maxle/dp/B002NQA66C

so if the adjustment allows it they'd be fine would they, you know if the forks working ok so should be ok?

Obviously the linked ones arn't O.E though.

AFAIK, Recon's only became available in 140mm for 2010. Previously, they were longest at 130mm.

No idea why your older one's are showing 140mm of stantion though....?

Well, that's what I thought, TBH!

But then I've heard of mods to older RS forks to increase the travel too.

I reckon it's a good thing, don't you?

They're actually showing 145mm of stanchion, so I let the air out and bottomed them out. 140mm of travel is what they're giving! They aren't on a bike, but they feel great on a 'bounce test' on the floor! ๐Ÿ™‚
