I have seen some 10spd shifters cheap. Is it possible to run them on a bike set up 9spd. Only until I convert everything to 10 spd.

Spent 3 days trying to get 9 speed shimano shifters to work with a 10 speed rear mech. Couldn't understand why it wouldn't work. I did some research, which is what I should have done in the first place. Apparently the actuation ratio is different.

the front will work. You just need to use a 9 speed rear shifter for a bit.
