I'm thinking of doing it gradually and as my BB is pretty much shot, the first piece to upgrade would be a new crankset...
With this in mind it possible to mix n match 9 n 10 speed components?

Your cassette, chain, rear mech and shifter must be 10 speed.
Everything else can be 9, so no point upgrading your chainset.
