Park Tool BMT-1
- Price: £44.99
- From: Freewheel

Ever since Benji included the Vittoria Air Liner Tool in his Editor’s Choice 204 selection his name has obviously gone down on some sort of ‘weak hands’ register. Which is entirely fair enough. Feel free to send any and every item that makes tyre swapping easier. Thanks! This is the new tyre bead breaker from Park Tool. Pleasingly utilitarian in appearance – it’s a gert big mole wrench with rubber tips – and capable of dealing with removing tyres up to 3.0in in volume (which is precisely what you should do with tyres of 3.0in volume LOLZ).

Exped Ultra 5 Sleeping Bag
- Price: £500.00
- From: Exped UK

This down sleeping bag should keep you warm down to its -4C limit temperature. It’s a claimed 815g in this size medium. Hannah has already tested it out overnight in her garden, where she discovered there’s a handy inner pocket – perfectly placed to store your phone in case you want it at hand. For emergency pizza orders, perhaps. Packed volume is 17 x 17 x 30cm.
Exped Ultra 5R Mummy Sleeping Mat
- Price: £185.00
- From: Exped UK

This insulated mat has an R rating of 4.8, packs down to 23 x 12.5cm and has a claimed weight of 445g. Our test sample didn’t come with the wonderfully named ‘Schnozzel Pumpbag’, which is included if you buy one. Instead, we counted 17 lungfuls to inflate it. Separate out and in valves keep inflation and deflation simple.
Nitecore NB20000 GEN 3 Power Bank
- Price: £104.95

This is a 20,000mAh battery pack that weighs a claimed 291g. It’s designed for outdoor use, with protected corners, IPX 5 waterproofing rating (resistant to low pressure water…like rain), and carbon fibre protective outer. It will do pass through charging, and has two USB C ports (that work as both in or out). Should be enough to keep a phone charged a few times over, and indicator lights let you know how much charge is left inside. A short USB C to USB A adapter is included.

Stale Goods Friday – 2012 Commencal Meta AM
- Price: £3,799
- From: Fresh Goods Friday 24

We typed at the time thus: “We showcased this new All Mountain bike from Commencal back in ourInterbike coverageand we’re glad to see that we’ve finally been able to get hold of one for test. As Commencal says ‘A good enduro bike is not an XC bike that can descend but a downhill bike that can climb.’ – and with 150mm of travel we reckon it’s going to be perfect for the rufty tufty trails we have around here.”

3 inches is the tyre width not volume.
Can I be first to say: 80 quid for a t-shirt????
No wonder the industry is on it’s ass!
With an 80 quid t-shirt and a 500 quid sleeping bag the title is somewhat misleading…
I have not said this for a long time…..
How much?
Fresh Goods Friday 751: The Insanely Overpriced and Pointless edition.
Fixed it for you.
Since when did t shirts cost £40 and Sleeping bags £500. Does it never get dirty, fit in your trouser pocket and sing you to sleep
At least there’s a sub £550 seatpost for the budget conscious.
I do like mons royal kit. But not at full price ?
Nitecore do some very very good lights. Buying them from AliExpress makes them incredibly reasonable.
Park looked at some £12 welding vice grip pliers and thought can we turn this into a seriously overpriced unnecessary item by adding some soft jaws to it, yes we can.
I could probably fashion mine into something similar for next to nothing.
Leonard Nemoy on the electric jug there

i am so glad i am now a dinosaur…….. long live 9 speed, rigid forks and decathlon.
