Video: Cam Zink doc Reach For The Sky now on iTunes

Cam Zink is, I think we’re all pretty agreed, a pretty accomplished rider. And now there’s a documentary exploring just what that means – both in mind-blowing riding terms, and what it means for him and the people around him. It’s bookended by the Red Bull Rampages in 2013 and 2014, and it promises to be a pretty interesting watch…

Screen Shot 2015-11-13 at 15.11.47The doc includes commentary by Cameron Zink (well, duh), Travis Pastrana, Shaun Palmer, Adam Jones, Brandon Semenuk and loads more.

You can see the trailer here (it’s ace):

…and if that whets your appetite, you can buy it for stream or download on pretty much everything including your microwave, here.

Can’t see the video? Watch it here.

More thoughtful than a lot of MTB movies, which are usually of the gung-ho, look-at-me-ma persuasion, we can’t wait to see it…

Barney Marsh takes the word ‘career’ literally, veering wildly across the road of his life, as thoroughly in control as a goldfish on the dashboard of a motorhome. He’s been, with varying degrees of success, a scientist, teacher, shop assistant, binman and, for one memorable day, a hospital laundry worker. These days, he’s a dad, husband, guitarist, and writer, also with varying degrees of success. He sometimes takes photographs. Some of them are acceptable. Occasionally he rides bikes to cast the rest of his life into sharp relief. Or just to ride through puddles. Sometimes he writes about them. Bikes, not puddles. He is a writer of rongs, a stealer of souls and a polisher of turds. He isn’t nearly as clever or as funny as he thinks he is.

    Respect for this madman!

Seen it, despite it being about 30 mins from where he was staying he didn’t pop in. Yes a thoughtful film but a bit dull really, not convinced by the editing and almost random application of the timeline. On a par with the miserable champion/palmer flick, nowhere near as good as the Steve Peat – Won’t back down
