With high winds and the rain coming down there’s not much to spot in Finale right now, the cafes are full but the pit area is deserted. Luckily the one support truck where business is going on as normal is Hope Technology, so we headed there to grab a sneak peek at what was on offer.
Hope’s Woody Hole is on course to win the overall Enduro World Series Master’s category at Finale this weekend and this is the bike that’s going to help him do it…
Take one Specialized Enduro and throw all the Hope product at it to create the ultimate enduro monster truck. Finale sees the debut of his new 27.5 Enduro having previously raced on its 29er incarnation.
There’s an Ohlins coil sprung shock out back to provide consistent big hit swallowing suspension.
Fox 36 forks up front sport custom anodised top caps to tie in with the newly released Hope orange kit that adorns the frame.
Drivetrain is Shimano XTR shifter and mech driving a prototype Hope 11 speed cassette, this one is obviously Shimano compatible but team mate Sammy Sharp is running a SRAM version.
You might have expected some big rotors for the hard descents but Woody’s running 180mm rotors and E4 brakes front and back.
And to answer the inevitable ‘what tyres for’ questions, the answer is provided by Maxxis…
