Marzocchi not closing

Last week’s rumblings about the closure of Marzocchi have been confirmed to be confined to the company’s motorcycle division and will have no effect on its bicycle business.

GVM and a Marzocchi fork: both very much alive and kicking (although in GVM's case probably a little bit creakily, following his 3 Peaks fell race PB at the weekend - congrats, GVM!)

Our UK source dismissed the rumblings: “The rumour has kind of got out of control, which I guess is the downside of the click and share (without reading first) culture…”

The rumoured closures apply only to Marzocchi’s Italian manufacturing facility; the company moved production of its bicycle parts to Asia several years ago, so that arm of the business should be unaffected. Marzocchi has also been busy launching brand new products at Sea Otter, including a dropper post, so it’s probably reasonably safe to assume that it’s not planning on exiting the mountain bike market in a hurry.
