Anka Martin, Kelli Emmett and Sarah Leishman are the three riders involved. Gravity racer and long-time mountain-bike adventurer Anka Martin has been with Juliana since 2013, Kelli Emmett is an experienced racer in a variety of stripes, and Sarah Leishman is a Whistler-based enduro and downhill racer.

Here’s a quick introductory video:

“It’s incredible to see how excited and motivated our partners are to support a women’s cycling team,” said Juli Furtado, founder of Juliana Bicycles and former World title holder in both XC and DH. “Anka, Kelli, and Sarah are going to do us all proud at the Enduro World Series and look set to have a great time doing it… I’m quite envious that nothing like this existed in my day, to be honest!”

Barney Marsh takes the word ‘career’ literally, veering wildly across the road of his life, as thoroughly in control as a goldfish on the dashboard of a motorhome. He’s been, with varying degrees of success, a scientist, teacher, shop assistant, binman and, for one memorable day, a hospital laundry worker. These days, he’s a dad, husband, guitarist, and writer, also with varying degrees of success. He sometimes takes photographs. Some of them are acceptable. Occasionally he rides bikes to cast the rest of his life into sharp relief. Or just to ride through puddles. Sometimes he writes about them. Bikes, not puddles. He is a writer of rongs, a stealer of souls and a polisher of turds. He isn’t nearly as clever or as funny as he thinks he is.
