Bike Ahead Composites had a few bits and pieces on show today; we took a quick look at its new carbon offerings. To start off, here are the new fully carbon wheels, dubbed the lightest mountain bike wheelset. Available in 26, 27.5 and 29 inch sizes, the all-mountain/cross-country wheels range from 1,348g to 1,459g.
It also had some carbon bars and seat post to show. Available are two handlebars: both are fully carbon and both include Bike Ahead’s new NSA (No Slip Application) technology. The Flatbar model comes in at 109/119g, is available in 640mm-730mm widths and has a 31.8mm clamp. The riser bar is 129g, has a 15mm rise, is available in 740mm-800mm widths and has a 31.8mm clamp.
Weighing in at 99g, the seat post is available in 27.2 and 31.6mm diameters, and at lengths of 270, 350, and 400mm. We will take a longer look at the range of carbon goodies during the week, so expect to see a bit more information on the super lightweight offerings from Bike Ahead Composites.
