Here we go again with another cascade of the stuff that’s landed on the ST doormat this week, it’s Fresh Goods Friday!
Hope Hoops Pro 2 Evo 29er Flow EX Wheels
Light, strong and with massive Flow Ex rims, we’ve got a pair of 29er Pro 2 Evo Hope Hoops delivered. The straight pull hubs now come with stainless steel bearings and should be bomb proof.
Our pair are equipped with SRAM 11 speed compatible XD drive and are destined for Dave’s LTc build, which in typical fashion is being hastily built for an alpine roadtrip to Eurobike.
It’s nearly there but will it be finished in time?

What is the BCD on the 29er friendly chainsets? Assuming its smaller, else the middle 30t ring would need to be threaded.
Looks like about 94mm from a quick eye-up, Al.
That Deore stuff looks really quite nice
These have just turned up on Madison’s site actually. Says 104BCD. http://www.madison.co.uk/products/cycling/transmission-braking-components/groupsets/fc-m782-10-speed-xt-chainset-hollowtech-ii-40-30-22t-175-mm-silver/ I suspect thats wrong though.
How very curious. 94 would make more sense (old 5bolt compact IIRC).
The Deore stuff looks mint.
Consider getting some some of these (in yellow) for that wheelset on your yellow TallBoy, it will will look classy: http://www.slikgraphics.com/collections/rim-decals/products/notubes-ztr-flow-ex-29er-style-rim-decals
Wish they’d have left the deore levers alone though, they were the nicest in the range as they had the least silver and chrome on (even on the ‘black’ models).
Aren’t the SRAM X01 cranks 94BCD as well?
And people just give you all this stuff? Almost worth running a magazine 🙂
The Marzocchi’s look real nice, shame only available in a tapered steerer. Finding a decent upgrade to my Revelations in a 1 1/8 steerer is becoming nigh on impossible 🙁
unless my eyes really have stopped working – those Marzocchi’s look like a standard 1 1/8″ steerer to me…
It doesn’t currently say so on the Marzocchi site, but they’re definitely offering that version of the 55 in a normal steerer alongside the tapered one.
Those 55’s have an 1 1/8th steerer..
