We’ll be heading out to Chatel for the Lapierre launch next month, but here’s a taster of what we’re expecting to see. Nico’s new Spicy Team in that 27.5 wheel size…
The first round of the Enduro World Series at Punta Ala offers a teaser of what to expect from Lapierre in 2014. Nico Vouilloz will be using his new steed for the first time : the Spicy Team.
A honed race machine specced to perfection : e:i shock with the new Monarch Relay, the new 160mm Pike, straight out of the BlackBox programme, SRAM XX1 groupset, new SRAM wheels… in 27.5 !
This bike gives a little taster of the Lapierre 2014 range.
Like all Enduro racers, Nico Vouilloz is impatient to attack the Enduro World Series. He will be joined by the Team Lapierre Gravity Republic riders (Loic Bruni, Sam Blenkinsop, Emmeline Ragot), who are taking part as a preparation for the coming DH season.
Nico will also be wearing his new race kit, specially produced by Troy Lee Designs.

Is that a new type of Schwalbe tyre too?
Think the launch is in Chatel by the way 😉
Corrected, ahem…
That’s a hell of a nice looking bike – love the subtle colouring on inside of seat stays.
Looks like a last minute change of tyre sponsor – he was on Michelins in the recent SRAM wheel test video.
Bike looks awesome. One of those that looks fast while it’s motionless (like a Yeti SB). Love the semi-gloss black finish – the Pike’s black stanchions help a lot. If it rides as good as it looks… etc.
Also, judging by the jersey, Nico has no tyre sponsor…
Steed? Really?
‘First Ride’ is Schwalbe’s prototype and development programme so I would guess that he is sponsored in some way by them now.
