by 1

If you want to enter the inaugural round of the 661 Gravity Enduro taking place at Ae Forest up in Scotland on the weekend of the 7th May, you’d best get a wiggle on. There are only a few places left and entry will close on the 1st May, with no entries available on the day.

A modern full sus trail bike will be ideal but it's going to be more about your skill and fitness

We reckon that this format could well be the future of racing for people that like a long but technically challenging day out. You’ll be timed on the downhill sections and have to get to the top of each under you own power. You get two full days of riding for your entry fee and the automatic timing is backed up manually to ensure accuracy.

Organiser Steve Parr reckons the Ae round will be a 50/50 mix of the built trail centre trails and ‘off piste’ natural terrain, saying “It may be based in a trail centre but there are going to be some twists in what people expect. It’s rideable by all abilities but it’ll have enough technical riding to keep Elite downhillers happy”.

As media sponsor we’re going to be present at the event and if you want a taster of the event then have a look at the preview of the Eastridge round we did here HERE.

Even if you don’t fancy riding, it should be a good spectacle to watch, with loads on at the event village and the live-timed final stage providing plenty of racing thrills.
