Entries are now open for the 2011 edition of the Marin Dusk ‘Til Dawn. Once again, Marin Bikes and ATB Sales will partner with Thetford MTB Racing to bring you the much loved event, although the date has been pushed back one week from the usual date to avoid a conflict with the Birmingham Cycle Show.
Due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from 2010, the 2011 Marin Dusk ‘Til Dawn will once again run from the High Lodge Visitor’s Centre to take full advantage of the comforts on offer there. The Centre will remain open all night offering hot foods from the café and access to indoor toilets that will be supplemented with the typical port-a-loos.
Bike-Art will also be open for the duration of the event to provide bike product sales and support. Finally, there will be water available on site, a bike wash, and free parking for all competitors.
After their support in 2010, Exposure Lights will return to sponsor the 2011 event with a charging station located in the main arena area for all – regardless of your lights manufacturer. They will also be offering lights for hire through select participating dealers.
Solo entries cost £38, pairs are £66, three-person teams are £99, and four-person teams are £132.
As the event draws near, Paul will be leading a pre-ride of the proposed race course. The date and time for this ride will be announced on the Thetford MTB Racing website forum.
Registration will end Saturday, 10 September or once 1,000 riders have entered – whichever comes first – so you’ll need to get a move on if you want to race.
Full details can be found on the “Dusk ’til Dawn” tab of the Thetford MTB Racing website…

I will be back; not even the hypothermia I suffered last time will put me off. Watching the rain sluice through the glare of the campsite flood lights at 0300 will stay with me a long time…….
fingers crossed we get a dry one, just done all the permissions for D2D and the other 6 events we are doing in Thetford Forest this 2011/12 season, we have some great plans for the 2011/12 events.
Practically local to me now. Looking forward to going back.
That’s a great pic from Jooze!
