If you’re at a loss for what to do this weekend and fancy a bit of race action, this could be the perfect thing for you…
This Sunday 17/10/2010 see the final round of the Nutcracker XC races at Hamsterley forest. There will be four races throughout the day, one being the Sweat Monster race for the under 12s, ( the stars of the future ). There is no problem entering on the day. Signing on opens at 8.30, races start at 10.00. A lap of the course is approximately 4.5 miles in length with a good mixture of nature and man made singletrack, some cracking downhill sections, fire roads for the over taking moves and a stream crossing which should wash the mud off the boots.
Prize giving will be at the end of the day. With the series holding still all to play for, there will be some hard-fought battles on Sunday. For more info see the web site www.nutcrackermtb.co.uk so come along and support mountain bike racing in the North.

Anyone do it? How was it?
Hard!
didnt make this one. for me the catogories and start times are a bit messed up. when i last looked there were only 11 entries in the masters and starting at 2 o clock is a bit too late in the day.thought id give it a miss. also a lot of the courses are a bit boring too.
it was very good. course was a great mixture of everything, best one of the nutcrackers i have done (rounds 1,3,5 & 6). i have enjoyed the series and really appreciate the efforts of the organisers and being able to race close to home.
hi i was just wondering when the photo’s he took will be on?
